*NEW WEEKLY Xfm SHOW*

I'm really excited to announce that I’m going to be doing a weekly show on Xfm.

It’s the station I started my radio career at back in 2007 where I went from making tea to helping on the red carpet at the Brits and NME Awards.  The people there nurtured my beginnings in radio in those early days, without which I would never have gone on to become a reporter at BBC 6 Music and everything else that followed.  

I have always admired the station and its presenters and hoped I could one-day join the fold.  That wish was granted at Christmas when I was given the opportunity to cover several live shows.

But the big news is...  I will be hosting my own show on Thursday night into Friday morning each week from 1-3am. 

You’ll hear a selection of tracks from the Xfm playlist and a number of tracks chosen by me, from new and established artists I’m supporting.  You can expect some of these to fall into the electronic camp, music I’m playing out when I DJ at clubs and festivals and my residency at the monthly party I put on, Cat Lovers.  I'll be getting bands on the show as well.

And here's a few kind words from the boss, Chris Baughen: “It's important that Xfm continues to discover and develop new talent which is why it's great to have Georgie join the Xfm Team. She has bags of enthusiasm, heaps of potential and I look forward to hearing her new show.”

We start on the Thursday 9th May. Can’t wait to get started!
