INTERVIEW.Seeing LA trio Haim perform at Kings College in London last night (my second Haiming) has reaffirmed to me that they are just the best girl thing to have emerged for ages. The hilariously funny and charming, all out jokers, have crafted these wonderful indie, rock, r 'n' b behemoths which make you groove and stare in awe at how they handle their guitars. My theory is that Keith Richards and Jimmy Page are actually brothers and they had three daughters between them. Voila. HAIM ladies and gentlemen! I joke, but seriously - they can truly play. There were so many *girl crushes* in the place last night. I think every boy and girl in there wanted to hang out with Danielle, Este and Alana for evermore, B.F.F and all that, echoed by the girls and Este's parting words: 'I want to f*** you London!'. They came into BBC 6 Music to talk to me when they were last in the UK playing the iTunes festival, supporting Ellie Goulding. Soon they are supporting Florence and the Machine at the 02 on her request. They've been sharing studio time with the likes of James Ford and Paul Epworth. Casual. And we should see a debut album next year, which they have all written. Genuinely it has been my FAVOURITE interview of the year. They talk about the new singles, nearly blowing up Mumford and Sons and Este's infamous onstage chat. Listen to it in full below: And this is a MEGA remix which has just dropped of the new single....
