The most awesome thing happened this week. My wee Breakfast Show on Amazing Radio was only featured in the ruddy Guardian! And with the words 'excellent' too.
Thanks to Elizabeth Mahoney, a) for writing such lovely things and b) for using a nice picture! (And no, I haven't secretly been sending her cakes, bubbly and all manner of bribes on the down low.)
To think that there are influential people listening is slightly scary but also validation that what we are doing is quite frankly fabulous.
In case you don't know, Amazing Radio is a national DAB station which only plays emerging musical talent. The whole world can listen online too.
All the music is sourced from Amazing Tunes, which has been around for much longer. We're giving the new bands airplay which they wouldn't get on other networks. Giving them something to be excited about early on.
On Amazing Breakfast, which is the show I present we've had some big names in comedy and music do bits and pieces for us. Legendary band The National have recorded the listeners a Christmas message, The Drums have given some advice on being unsigned and we've had comedians Tim Vine, Trevor Lock, Jeff Leach and Scott Capurro on too.
Listen between 7-10am weekday mornings on Amazing Radio.
