The track above is the song you will be able to hear five times this week on Amazing Breakfast. It's my Track of the Week and is the re-working of this song below by Big DaDa artist Dels by Hot Chip man Joe Goddard with a helping hand from the Mercury nominated Ghostpoet. Both versions are heavy. Plus the music video for the original is RIDICULOUSLY good. All done in paint. Worth watching 'the making of' video below too. Hear it every day, 7-10am, on Amazing Radio. Ta-daaaa. Not half bad ay?!

Plus, the Government updates music copyright legislation. Please don't be put off by the band name! Not the best, but Saturday Night Gym Club got somethin' special going on. Their track above, featuring Ellie Walker has already garnered a lot of love from Radio 1 and we have been playing it and it' on Amazing Radio breakfast. Lush, glitchy electronic beats It's a great track and just when I thought it couldn't get better I found this video of them live. LIKE. 8/2/2011 0 Comments New Travelling Band videoThis is the new video from Manchester outfit The Travelling Band. They've been Artist of the Week on Amazing Breakfast and I had the pleasure of meeting a pretty muddy Nick the drummer at Glastonbury. Check out his hair. Epic. In fact they all have pretty 'WOW' barnets. This is their latest single, available as a free download. The new album Screaming Is Something is out now for your buying pleasure. Plus, they have oodles of gigs coming up so go see them at a venue near you. Deets here.
8/2/2011 0 Comments UBER GIRL CRUSH ALERT!My super stylish and lovely friend that works in fashion alerted me to the hotness of model and stylist Erin Wasson while we were on holiday.
Thought it was worth a post because a) her style is ridiculously rad b) am a lot in awe of her body artwork (get me to a tattoo artist now!) and c) she has a skate ramp in her garden - which she can use I hasten to add! That's it. I'm getting the flares out! Even though I'll look like a Wilko's version of Erin...but that's okay with me (Lidl would have sounded better there but I don't want to undervalue Lidl, it's GREAT for the festival shop). Take a moment of your day. G'wan. Have a little stare! |
