Oxjamming in Kilburn

Amazing Radio hosted a stage at Powers as part of the Oxjam Kilburn Takeover on Saturday 23rd October.


Bands that played on our bill included Phantom (a side project of The Maccabees drummer and Jack Penate's guitarist), Chapter 24, Red Drapes and the headliners, one of Oxford's finest new bands Spring Offensive.

As Spring Offensive are our Featured Artist of the Week on Amazing Breakfast this week, I caught up with them before their set. 


We thought it was only right to go to Funky Flavaz, an ice cream and milkshake shack over the road which also sold Halal meat!

From Funky Flavaz to the stage at Powers. Spring Offensive put on a really impressive live show. They told me in the interview that they treat every gig like it's the only time they'll get to do it and that showed. They started with Everything Other Than This as a nod to Amazing Radio as well. Their manager told me they hardly play it live but did it for us as we've been playing it on the network. Nice.
