6/26/2012 0 Comments Bluebell Breakfast Session![]() We’ve been giving Normal Heights a lot of love over the past year since we played a demo version, with it being re-vamped and re-issued, we thought their music would sound particularly gorgeous stripped back, and we weren’t wrong. We’ve got three tracks for your ears across the week and an interview in Wednesday’s show. Here they are – Normal Heights and Girls and Cinderella! We’ve also got a rockin’ new Track of the Week from Pond called You Broke My Cool – listen to it on repeat at your leisure below!

6/24/2012 0 Comments Massive love for HiatusWe’ve previously played the gorgeous Fortunes Fool a few months back, and we currently can’t get enough of Change Up and everything he has done with Shura so we thought it was high time we gave his work the showcase it deserves! Hiatus is Artist of the Week on Amazing Breakfast this week and I spoke to Cyrus on Wednesday’s show. He was extremely interesting and I can't wait to hear the imminent album. Listen to the complete interview below and some of his back catalogue, put in simple terms a swoon-fest of lush sounds, here! 6/22/2012 0 Comments Amazing Breakfast Best Bits![]() When I was away on holiday earlier this year, the lovely Jo Good (a friend and colleague from Xfm and 6 Music) covered the majority of the show, Amazing Breakfast. Then in the final hour each day one of five hour long shows of Brekky's best bits from the past months went out. I must add they were lovingly put together by my prodce I was listening through to them today and thought why not get them up here for you to listen to. Consider them as little podcasts with some great new music in as well as the random chatter. In the first you'll here me ATTEMPTING to prank Kyle Wilkinson and my Nonnie (aka Grandma!). There's also an interview with Duncan from Dutch Uncles. In this one you'll find some serious trashy TV talk. In this one you'll find an epic tube story and how Brian May's hair is a gift that just keeps on giving. In this one we discuss the incredible array of ridiculous genre names, from Wave Wave to Grave Core and Crust Core, we also chat about lookalikes and you can hear an interview with Lianne La Havas. In this one Danny Wallace drops in to say hello and plug his new book, More Awkward Situations. He is very funny. Fact. Plus you'll hear about the masterful work of a forensic post-burglary. Ahem... perhaps more a masterful mis-understanding on my part! 6/21/2012 0 Comments New Bat For LashesBat For Lashes loves a good name for song titles; Prescilla, Daniel and now Laura.
This is truly scrumptious. Cannot wait to hear the new album and if this first taster is anything to go by, then we're in for a treat. |
