Over Autumn 2025 I had the pleasure of hosting The Indie Spirit Show on Soho Radio, sponsored by Jack Daniels in partnership also with Metropolis Studios and the Music Venue Trust.

We did 13 weeks of radio programmes on the network to tie in with the Jack Daniels Revive Live campaign and Live to Vinyl gigs at Metropolis Studios (Kokoroko, Nilufer Yanya and The Snuts). During the series we had so many incredible artists join us for interviews and live sessions from the likes of Sampa The Great, Art School Girlfriend, Anish Kumar, Bria Salmena, Ishmael Ensemble, Ady Suleiman, Ellur, Keaton Henson, Yoshika Colwell, Kuleeangee, Tom Vek, Lava La Rue, Petite Noir and many more.

Hollie Cook is back with a new album out on Mr Bongo on 10th October titled Shy Girl. 

Mr Bongo also put out her 2011 debut record and it was recorded in Crosstown Studios in London as well as studios internationally with the General Roots band and producer Ben McKone. 

Hollie dropped by the studio to come and have chats. We spoke all about making the record, getting to go to some other countries and her very musical upbringing with a Sex Pistols drummer dad and mum who sang for Culture Club.

Lavender are a British duo Oskar Rice and Adam Jackson and came by my weekly mid-morning show recently on Soho Radio to discuss the release of their debut album We're Having A Barn Dance, on Night Time Stories. 

They go way back meeting at school so speak all about the origins of Lavender, how they are absolute perfectionists but lucky to share the same vision musically, about studio sessions in Limehouse and France and future plans. The album is out now.

On the channel this week I welcomed a very special guest into the studio for a conversation and live session, the British singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey.

His new album Dark Harvest Part 1 comes out this Friday 6th June 2025 and so Nick joined me on Soho Radio to chat all about making the new record, what we can expect from Part 2 out later this year and his tour plans all over the globe.

Nick performed two tracks live as well, Radical Tenderness from the new album and a sublime cover which also features on the LP of Annie Lennox's No More "I Love You's". Nick also told us the story of deciding to cover that song and learning more about its inspiration when he became friends with Annie's daughter Lola Lennox.

Georgie Rogers welcomed back into the Soho Radio studio previous guest Rival Consoles, the electronic producer and musician.

Ryan Lee West has a new album incoming on Erased Tapes on 4th July called Landscape From Memory which he says is his most optimistic record. 

They get into the making of the record after a period of feeling burnt out and creatively uninspired, Ryan's relationship with his label family, being their first signing ever. He also discusses new tracks Catherine and Known Shape and plans for touring all over the globe including Australia.
