On the mic @ Festibelly
Two fabulous friends of mine have masterminded a gem of a festival called Festibelly in Lymington Town, the New Forest.
It's an absolute honour every year to be the compere, introducing the bands on the main stage in my own special way, whether it be doing a mass game of musical statues, custard-pie-ing people for free tickets or dressing up like the Artful Dodger.
I remember when it started five years ago, a gathering for a few hundred people as part of a 21st Birthday bash. Now it's a fully fledged, respected festival for 3,000 people.
In 2011 it played host to New Young Pony Club, Ghostpoet, She Keeps Bees, Hollie Cook, Dimbleby and Capper, This Is The Kit, Skinny Lister, Kyla La Grange and James Yuill to name just a few. The Big Pink, King Charles and Rob Da Bank have graced the main stage in the past. This year, Gold Panda, Clock Opera, Bastille, Kitty Daisy & Lewis and Dems will be taking to the stage, among many more.
