My latest Foundation FM show guest was somewhat epic! Had a total hoot with Inwards, a modular synth explorer/producer who picked tracks to play from AFX, Four Tet, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and more. Hear the mega lols we had about log cabins, face offs with mice and animals in general plus the time he met Aphex Twin at Bang Face and he let him crash for the night!
Listen back to the show. I had a lot of fun and as you'll find Kris/Inwards is BRILLIANT - at both the music and the chat.

My Super Women partner in crime Alice Smith and I interviewed each other for Hey Girl TV.
The magazine did a feature on us about the series and platform and said lots of kind words. Great to sit down and chat with Leonie Watkins about our careers and plans for the future.

Minneapolis band Poliça are back with new music.
The brand new single ‘Driving’ had its world premiere with Lauren Laverne on Wednesday (9th October) and it marks the first taster of a new album ‘When We Stay Alive’, released on January 31st 2020.
The time between the ‘United Crushers’ LP in 2016 and this record was permeated with a bad accident for the singer Channy Leaneagh.
She fell 10 feet off a roof and badly broke her back, which resulted in wearing a brace for three months before starting physical therapy on the long road to recovery.
Out the other side and with a new album to boot and a world tour no less with UK dates in the diary in February we checked in with her to find out more about the new track Driving.
She started by telling me about what happened…
Earlier this year Rebecca Taylor released her debut album as Self Esteem.
The former Slow Club singer had spent a decade touring and releasing albums in the duo with Charles Watson but has since found a new freedom writing and performing her solo work which is inspired by Kanye West and Destiny’s Child but through an alt-pop filter.
Following her debut Compliments Please she has played a host of different festivals this year from All Points East to Glastonbury, Latitude to Green Man.
She is an ambassador of BBC Music Day today and nominated for Best Breakthrough at the Q Awards next month plus she revealed she has already got to work on a second album. I sat down with Rebecca Taylor for a catch up and it's always a hoot, have a listen…
Bat For Lashes has shared the first taster of a new album Lost Girls which will be out September 6th. IT SOUNDS MEGA!
The track is called Kids In The Dark and is a homage to LA, 80s movies and music and the characters of album number 5 the Lost Girls.
The new LP follows The Bride from 2016 and she also did the Sexwitch project with the band Toy in that time but this also came off the back of moving on from a major label deal to going independent.
Now based in LA I spoke to her for BBC 6 Music to find out more about this new record…
Let’s hear from Fat White Family.
Tomorrow (19th April) they celebrate their third album with what they present as a “Pop-Up Boutique Experience” in downtown Peckham.
The invite reads:
Don’t miss out on our yummylicious cupcakes, bric a brac, political lectures, antiques EXPERIENCES, lectures, quasi-poetical immersive EXPERIENCES, commercial openings, music and so much more…
It kicks off at Noon – 5pm at 91 Peckham High Street.
I spoke to Lias on the phone for BBC 6 Music while they were in rehearsals to discuss the event tomorrow and what they’ve described as their “cryptic masterwork” the new record Serf’s Up...
