This month I had the South African musician Moonchild Sanelly in the studio on my Music Discovery show on Soho Radio.
Moonchild Sanelly releases her third studio album Full Moon on January 10th 2025 and has been in the UK on tour in recent weeks so dropped by the studio. This was such a fun conversation. Moonchild covers all things from the making of the album, her journey coming up in music in the Durban poetry scene and a more alternative scene in Johannesburg, juggling living out her dreams and being a mum. We discuss being Scorpio sisters ;-) and how Moonchild achieves her future ghetto funk sound and the epic signature energy in her music as well as the massive collaborative single from this year 'Big Man' with Self Esteem. This month's guest on my Music Discovery radio show on Soho Radio is the multi-instrumentalist, producer and beat maker Lawrence Hart. He's fresh off the back of two singles released on Domino Records' Double Six 'Hear Ur Heartbeat' and 'Just Belong' as well as some bootleg edits including a smasher with Mera Bhai on a Jungle edit of Girls Aloud 'Sound of the Underground'.
